In the thick of it

We are now nearing the peak of the Respiratory illnesses surge in various hotspots from coast to coast – COVID in NYC area and RSV across the South while Flu contiues to increase across the country.

The Exposure Risk map below shows that almost the entire population is facing increasing levels of exposure risk to one or more of these airborne illnesses. If you haven't got your shots yet, there's still time since the elevated levels are not headed down till end of January. And it is always smart to use a good fitting mask to mimize your exposure.

Variants

🦠 JN.1defines the current variant driving prevalence in all states, especially in the largest metro regions. As millions are infected with this new variant over the past month, several new sub variants of JN.1 including JN.1.1, JN.1.2 and XDD are gaining prevalence.

JN.1.1, JN.1.2 & XDD are following the trail of JN.1

CDC first reported on the prevalence of JN.1 this week and it matched hubbub's own projections for the variant which have been driving the hotspots in the prevalence map below.
