COVID-19
The past week continued the inflection in prevalence that started a week earlier across the country marking the onset of the Winter wave.
COVID prevalence increased this past week in most states across the country
Prevalence increased in all states except for these 10:
🔵 Arizona
🔵 Arkansas
🔵 Minnesota
🔵 Nebraska
🔵 New Hampshire
🔵 New Mexico
🔵 Oregon
🔵 Texas
🔵 Virginia
🔵 Washington
Over the next couple weeks, we can expect COVID prevalence to trend secularly up across all states
Prevalence has not dropped from high levels in any of the metro areas even as we transition from the Summer-Fall wave to the Winter wave.
Please use appropriate precautions – get vaccinated, improve indoor air quality and mask up.
Covid Vaccines
This year is the first time 3 options for the Covid vaccine have been available; for the 12+ age group. The authorization and availability of the Novavax vaccine had been highly anticipated by the hubbub community, for a variety of reasons. And naturally when we asked them this past week, 40% had gotten Novavax, with Pfizer and Moderna tied at 30% each. This is definitely not representative of the general population or the population with highest risk of serious outcomes who probably could not wait the extra month, but is an indication of where the Covid-aware mindset is 😀.
Flu
Prevalence is still low almost everywhere and not trending up anywhere.
Consult with your physician on getting the flu shot.
Flu prevalence this past week was at 50% of the prevalence same time last year and did not trend up or down
RSV
States with very high RSV prevalence:
♦️ California with San Francisco at up to 94 /area
♦️ Florida with Miami at up to 81 /area
♦️ Louisiana with New Orleans at up to 78 /area
♦️ Texas with Houston at up to 68 /area
RSV prevalence continued to increase this past week in most states except for Illinois & Indiana in the Midwest, Maine & Vermont in the Northeast and Georgia in the South.
Bringing the Community to Health Safety

Every day we spend much of our time in our homes with our family, but we also spend considerable time at work or at school. Together these groups constitute the most significant portion of one's community and hence one's exposure risk. Hence, hubbub is introducing the ability to add all members of your community to provide a comprehensive and convenient Community Risk solution.
